Parker's Birth Year Set Quest: 2010 Topps!

As I take my first steps into fatherhood, I see less time for collecting. Which is fine because of diminished extra funds and my desire to further refine my collecting goals.

I completed my birth year set (1976 Topps) a few years ago. It is one of my favorite things in my collection. I want Parker to have a birth year set too. I guess it will have to be flagship Topps since its the only kid on the block. (I am excited about the artsy Chicle but that's for Daddy!)

I bought 16 packs of Series 1 for him and Uncle Chris chipped in for 8 more. I briefly considered going for the whole shebang but decided that Parker needs to learn that less is more sooner than later. It's base set only. (But he is not opposed to those cool SPs or those mini target reds)

Congrats! I love birth year sets! People wonder why I chased so many sets in 1996... As soon as I find some 2010 cards I will check your list.

Dayf, sounds like a great deal for Parker. I'll try to find something else you might like. Parker is a little low on Brave oddities.

I have bought about 10 packs or so and have no use, so I will check and see if I can help you out when I get home.

What numbers do you still need? What's the diff between the red and normal color numbers? Anyhow, let me know and I can search through my doubles for you :)

What Sean said. I have a ton of doubles, and I can hook you up. I am collecting for my wee lad too, Jack, who is one in 2 weeks.

Great Idea! We are actually giving away Topps 2010's on our show. (We open packs of cards and give all the cards away) www.openingdaycards.com

You might find some that you need there. Also - if you email me your address - Chris@openingdaycards.com - we'll send a pack of Topps 2010's to contribute for Parker.
